What were the reasons of Odoo choice?

The company needed a scalable and efficient ERP solution to manage its complex B2B operations. With a large product catalog from multiple external providers and a requirement for seamless vendor communication, Odoo offered the flexibility and automation they were looking for. Since their previous solution couldn’t handle the amount of data and fulfill the needs, Odoo’s modular structure and ability to integrate with external platforms made it the ideal choice.

Interesting Information on the Implementation and Project.

IT FIRST’s e-commerce platform runs on Alokai. To improve efficiency, we built a custom connector that automatically synchronizes products from external vendors. This saves valuable time by automatically pulling in product details—descriptions, specifications, and images—without manual effort.

With over a million products in their catalog, IT FIRST needed better control over listings. To address this, we implemented a checkpoint system in Odoo, ensuring every product is reviewed before going live. Automated rules now streamline the process, automatically approving or filtering out products, while only the most complex listings require manual review.

Order processing has also been optimized. The sales team can create and confirm orders, communicate with vendors, and generate purchase orders within a single workflow.

We’ve been collaborating with IT FIRST since 2018 and continue to enhance their systems as they grow.

Features Implemented in Odoo:

1. Product Management & Vendor Integration – Automated product upload from external providers, with a custom-built connector to sync and display products on the website.

2. Approval Checkpoint System – Ensured only relevant products were added to Odoo, improving performance and data accuracy.

3. Multi-Channel Sales Management – Orders received from different sales channels are processed through Odoo, allowing sales representatives to manage accounts efficiently.

4. Automated Order & Purchase Flow – Sales orders are created and sent to customers for confirmation. Once confirmed, Odoo automatically generates purchase orders. The system also tracks shipping updates and confirms orders upon vendor shipment.

5. Full Accounting Localization – The accounting module was fully customized and localized to meet Dutch regulations and compliance requirements.
